There’s something profoundly moving about watching seagulls at sunrise along the Cape Cod shoreline. They seem to know every shift in the wind, every secret the tide keeps whispering. Their flight feels less like movement and more like communion—an instinctive conversation between sea, sky, and spirit. As the first light spreads over the waves, they glide through the colors of dawn as if painting them into being. I often think the seagulls here are keepers of balance, reminding us that harmony is not stillness but motion—trusting the wind, surrendering to its direction, and returning, always, to the light.

They rise where the salt begins to speak,
wingtips threading the seam
between storm and light.
The sea gives them its breath—
they give it shape.
Each cry is a note of belonging,
woven through cloud and current,
a hymn older than the dunes,
older than any harbor bell
that calls a boat home.
They are cartographers of air,
mapping invisible rivers
that rush above Menauhant’s tide—
their compass, the pulse of wind,
their faith, the returning dawn.
Below, the ocean mirrors their motion—
each wave a gesture of flight,
each crest a fleeting echo
of white wings breaking through
the edge of time.
And so they circle the Cape
like thoughts that never settle—
guardians of tide and shimmer,
the living seam between earth and sky,
between departure and return.

In an effort to reduce our impact on the oceans and beaches we all love, your art prints and wearable art will be crafted upon your order. Deliveries can take from 2 weeks to 6 weeks. Do you ship internationally?
Canvases, fine art paper prints, and murals can be rolled and packaged by art specialists for safe transport during shipping. You will receive detailed tracking information and will be able to view updates along the way. Shipping is within the United States.
