Anatomy of Majesty by ©Oecean Eversley
Before the first language found its tongue,
she was fluent in the grammar of rivers.
Gold gathered where the sunlight lingered,
blue remembered every tide before the moon,
and the earth learned its own reflection
inside the quiet certainty of her gaze.
She carries no crown,
for crowns belong to those who arrive later.
Her authority was written into bone,
into the patient architecture of breath,
into every current that bent around stone
before history believed itself to be history.
Across her skin, the waters continue speaking—
not as ornament, but as inheritance.
Each luminous fragment a coastline,
each curve a constellation folded into flesh,
each shimmering line another passage
leading life toward its own beginning.
She does not ask to be remembered.
The sea has already accepted that duty.
Its tides return again and again,
tracing the outline of forgotten footsteps,
lifting names dissolved by centuries
back into the light of another dawn.
Within her silence sleeps a thousand generations.
They rise like birds from the horizon,
their wings stitched from salt and ochre,
their songs older than carved stone,
their shadows stretching farther
than the reach of any empire.
Majesty was never something she possessed.
It moved through her like water through a riverbed,
effortless, unwavering, inevitable.
To behold her is not to witness power,
but to remember that all beginnings
were once held gently in human hands.
