More Herself (Original)

$795.00

In this original acrylic painting, the feminine form merges with a cascading waterfall, rendered in ethereal hues of turquoise, emerald, and white. She appears both rooted and rising—her body not merely posed, but in motion—reaching upward as if mid-transformation. The figure is woven into the elements: her flowing curves echo the rush of water and the bloom of petals that trail along her silhouette. The environment encasing her is one of dreamlike reverence, where nature does not surround the woman but rather sings through her body. The scene evokes a sanctified metamorphosis—an invitation to witness a moment both intimate and elemental.

The dualities in the work—fluidity and grounding, presence and transcendence—speak to the quiet majesty of becoming. There’s an ancient whisper in the palette, something primal and restorative. Each brushstroke suggests an unspoken mythology, where feminine energy renews not only the self but the entire landscape it inhabits. This is more than a portrait; it is a passage. The painting lingers in the imagination, like the memory of a dream that left behind its light

Poem: More Herself

She stood where the veil of water parted,
where rivers keep the soul intact,
and light, not borrowed from the sun,
rose from her collarbone, intact
as if the sky had knelt to drink.

Her limbs were braided into stems,
her back a slope of streaming green;
the meadow dressed her hips in moss,
a waterfall became her skin—
so gentle, it began to heal her wounds.

She was not waiting to be named,
nor seeking praise, nor seeking flight;
the arc she traced from root to star
was ritual, not reach or plea,
a language finally understood.

Each flower grew to keep her pace,
each petal opening in time
with breath she didn’t know she gave;
no hourglass could hold her form,
no myth contains what she became.

And when she turned—without a sound—
to face the source from which she came,
the water sang its endless song, the wind exhaled its memory,
the world went on unchanged, but somehow softer
and time stepped back to let her pass.

Now, when she moves,
she carries a bit of waterfall in her walk,
a bit of quiet meadow in her eyes.
She’s not new—just more herself.
And the earth holds her like it always has.
