For the past couple of weeks, my body has been telling me one clear thing: stay in bed and rest...meaning, don't get up at 4:30 am in the morning to catch the sunrise. I listened to it, but this morning, the tides changed. I finally felt that familiar pull to get up early, and I am so profoundly grateful I made it out to Menauhant Beach to catch the sunrise. I didn't rush to grab the shot and leave. I just stood there and took my time, breathing in that crisp, gracious summer air that you can only find at dawn. If you close your eyes, you can almost hear what I heard: a beautiful morning chorus of ospreys and seagulls calling across the water, completely synchronized with the gentle, rhythmic lap of the ocean waves against the rocks.

Moments like this remind me to honor my body's rhythm, but also to cherish the quiet beauty that waits for us when we are ready to return to it.I hope this brings a little bit of early morning peace to your day, wherever you are reading this from.
