When I took the photograph with the seagull in it, I was on Menauhant beach in Falmouth. It  was quiet except for the gentle lapping of waves and the distant cries of seagulls. As the first rays of sunrise began to stretch across the horizon, painting the sky with hues of yellow and orange, I placed my crystal glass ball on a weathered rock nestled in the cool sand.

Through the clear sphere, the world transformed as I took photographs. The colors of the sunrise took on a dreamy quality, and the reflection of the sky turned the ordinary into something extraordinary. I waited patiently, then just as the sun crested the water, a seagull soared through the blue expanse, and its reflection appeared perfectly within the glass ball.

That single image—of a seagull mid-flight, framed by the glowing sunrise inside a crystal sphere was deeply rewarding—a moment that I will never forget. Later in the day, I decided to do use the same technique, and took the other two photographs during sunset on Surf Drive Beach. All three photographs are available for purchase.
