At Chapoquoit Beach, the sunset felt almost unreal—gold light settling gently over a shoreline transformed by winter, where small, sculpted sea ice rested like quiet miracles on the sand and drifted through the frozen ocean waters. The ice caught the light in soft blues and silvers as the sun lowered into a horizon washed with amber and rose, turning cold into color and stillness into reverence.
I had never seen small glaciers like this before, and I stood in complete awe, just like everyone else gathered there, many of us gleefully discussing the rare beauty unfolding in front of us.
"It was a surreal, close-up introduction to a shifting, sparkling, living landscape. "
